The Emir of Yaba in Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Ndatsu has charged his subjects to continue to live in peace for the progress of the area.
Speaking with Journalists in Kaduna in a telephone interview, the newly turbaned emir noted that no society can attain greater heights with rancour and acrimony.
Alhaji Aliyu Ndatsu who thanked Almighty Allah for appointing him the emir of Yaba, affirmed his commitment and resolve to operate an open door policy and embrace all for the upliftment of the Yaba emirate.
He also assured of his full support to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike to achieve success.
The emir therefore appealed to the Minister to extend his rural development programmes to Yaba emirate and other surrounding towns.
With the commencement of the rainy season, he assured of his readiness to help farmers in the emirate to acquire farm inputs, such as fertilizers, pesticides and other implements to boost farming activities in the area.
The emir further explained that his emirate encourages fishery and dry season farming to improve the capacity of the people.
He however called for tolerance among farmers and herders in Yaba Emirate to forestall peace.
Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Ndatsu called on the youths in the area to embrace farming and other skills acquisition activities to fend for themselves and positively contribute to development.
He also implored the people of Yaba Emirate to form cooperate associations to enable them access government support to enhance their businesses.
The Emir of Yaba appealed to the FCT Minister to construct more rural roads to link various towns and villages in the emirate to ease transportation of agricultural produce, especially after harvesting period.
Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Ndatsu then advised the youths to shun hard drugs and illicit substances for their health and societal progress.
