Qur’anic Graduation: DR HAKEEM BABA AHMAD ATTRIBUTES BANDITRY TO ILLITERACY

The Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Vice President on Political Matters, Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmad has attributed the participation of youths in armed banditry activities to illeteracy.

He was speaking at the third Graduation of Daru Sigaril Huffaz Islamic School Kaduna.

According to him most of the bandits lacked proper Islamic and Western education, making them prune to violent activities.

In a remark the Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Dahiru Liman expressed satisfaction with the contributions of Daru Sigaril Huffaz Islamic School to imparting Islamic education in the society.

He called on wealthy muslims to give priority to supporting Islamic institutions to help uplift Islam.

Also speaking at the Memorisation and Graduation ceremony of the Darul Sigaril Huffaz, the Madakin Zazzau Alhaji Mannir Ja’afaru  through the Turakin Madakin Zazzau, Alhaji Auwal Ja’afar, commended the school for its long-time contribution towards uplifting Islam.

He stressed the importance of unity among muslims irrespective of their differences in sects.

In his contribution, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Darul Sigaril Huffaz Islamic School, and also Senior Special Adviser to Kaduna State governor on Religious Matters, Zakariyya Abdurrahman said there are three hundred registered pupils in the institution.

He thanked the Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani for sponsoring the education of some orphans in the Islamic School.

Zakariyya contended that alot of pupils have memorised the glorious Qur’an since the establishment of the school.

He advised muslims to imbibe the culture of frequent recitation of the holy Qur’an to enjoy Allah’s rewards and blessings, as well as guidance.

In his contribution, the Kaduna State Chairman Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, Sheikh Muhammad Rabi’u Abdullahi described the occasion as successful and worthy of emulation by other Islamic institutions.

He then urged muslims to come together and shelve their differences to uplift Islam.

Also speaking, the member representing Basawa Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Jamilu Albani, identified the Holy Qur’an as a guide and a straight path to paradise which must be embraced by all muslims.

He announced that governor Mallam Uba Sani has fulfilled his promise of Hajj seats to the winners of the recent Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in the state.
