NULGE IN KADUNA EXPELLED SIX OF ITS MEMBERS, ONE SUSPENDED

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Kaduna State Chapter,has announced disciplinary measures against Seven of its members for various offences, ranging from alleged misconduct, financial misaproppriation to serious breach of the Union constitution .

The Union took the measures at its State Executive meeting, presided over by the state president,Comrade Rayyanu Isyaku Turunku, which was also attwnded by Chairmen of all the Local Government branches of the Union .

Speaking to newsmen, after the meeting, the state Secretary of the Union, Comrade Jennifer Besong,said six of the affected members, including Comrade Adamu Alhaji Sani, Comrade Luka Tabat, Comrade Danjuma Yero, Comrade Yusuf Maiwada Rigachikun, Comrade Dahiru Zakari Likoro and Comrade Mikah Amos, have been expelled from the Union, for alleged anti Union activities and infringement on the Union constitution.

While one other member, Comrade Haruna Kargi, was suspended for alleged financial misaproppriation during his tenure as the interim Chairman of the Union and also allegedly masterminding anti union activities .

The Secretary alleged that the affected members have engaged themselves in various anti Union activities including attempt to factionalize the Union since the tenure of the previous State Executive Council, by creating fake and illegal Caretaker committee.

The Union however regretted that despite various peace efforts abd reconciliatory agreements and the election of new State Executives of the Union, the affected members are still unrelenting in their neferious activities to peralyze the operatorin of the Union in the state .

Comrade Jennifer Besong, said the Union is determined to put a halt to these negative trends to enable the Union forge ahead .
