AL-AMEEN COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KADUNA MATRICULATE ITS NEW STUDENTS, URGED THEM TO ABIDE BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE INSTITUTE

Al-Ameen College of Health Science and Technology Kaduna matriculate its new students of the combined sessions of 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, urged them to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute and be of good character .

In his good will message, the Special Guest of Honour and the Honourable Commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry for Local Government Alhaji Jafaru Sani ,who is ably represented by Alhaji Iliyasu Husaini, first, congratulated the new students on their matriculation and urged them to be serious on their Studies and also be of good character .

Alhaji Iliyasu Husaini said, the kaduna state government is determined to improve the health sector, especially Primary health Care PHC Sector, through the introduction of various programmes .

He said in this year’s 2020 budget of Kaduna State, 13 % goes to health sector,adding that presently the state government is recruiting health workers which he said, they devided it into three zones, zone one,zone two and zone three .

Alhaji Iliyasu Husaini further stated that, some zones nearly completed their interview,while some still on the process .

He added that Kaduna State government has introduced the Kaduna State Health Contributory Scheme KADCHMA with a view to improving the health of workers and the general public, especially the vulnerable among them .

According to him, the kaduna state government is paying fourty per cent of the Primary health care worker’s salary, while the local governments are paying sixty per cent .

Presenting the new students to the Acting Provost for their matriculation, the moderator who is the Registrer of the college, Mr Yakubu Baikie,urged the new students to listen attentibly .

In his welcome address before their matriculations, the Acting Provost, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed Bamalli welcomed all the guests and congratulated the new students .

He said ” while we look forward to your time of studies in our humble college, we will not fail in our responsibility to teach you, urge you, encourage you, advise you and most importantly warn you to strictly abide by the rules and regulations of this Institution.”

Alhaji Shehu Mohammed Bamalli then, warned the students that they must resist the temptation of exams-malpractice and avoid the uncivilized and dangerous vices of coltism and hard drugs during their stay in the college and always .

He advised them to work hard towards upholding the laudable values of their respective homes and must endeavour to maintain the good image of this prestigious institution like the students that have come before them .

He assure parents, guardians and all, that Al-Ameen College of Health Science and Technology Kaduna will train wards properly and professionally.

Bamalli said they will be instructed in accordance with the specifications of their accreditating and regulatory bodies.

He urged parents to ensure their children and ward present themselves as willing and dedicated to learn . Be confident that as successful graduate from their college they will be knowledgeable Health professionals and of sound morals .

He thanked most importantly their special guests and the guest speaker for making time to grace this occasion despite their tight schedules .

In his speech, the guest speaker Alhaji Sani Umar Regional Director, North Central (HRORBN), ably represented by Mohammed Haruna, said the college is given the mandate to train, build a multi-disciplinary centre for generating ideas on health department, health promotion and disease prevention programmes of academic and research .

according to him, the college is a monotechnic with interest in public health and Allied medical/paramedical professionalism .

He said the list of courses this great college offered includes Health Records / Information Management, Dental, Environmental Health, Medical Laboratory Technicians and the rest .

He noted that, the school should not relent on their successes and try to provide the right facilities, an enabling environment for the students to strive and acheive their goal in life .

The Regional Director North Central HRORBN, advised the school to recruit qualified manpower personnel so as to be able to get the best out of the students and for better qualitative education and trainings .

On cultism, he advised the students to adhere to ethics and conducts of school . Added that in view of the above, the students should also note that becoming relevant in the field of Medical/Health Practices within the three (3) tiers of Health Care Delivery System ( Primary, Secondary & Tertiary ) will authomatically make their voices known and recognized .

” As a teacher entrusted with the responsibility of guiding, teaching and councelling of the students towards acheiving his or her goal in the medical field and beyond, it is expected that he/she should be updating themselves on modern innovations and trending issues in the Medical Practice.”

He urged the parents not to relent on their efforts in ensuring that their wards adhere to the etiquettes and monitor their performance in the school and the companies they keep around them . They should try as much as they can to make the child acheive his/her aspirations in life .

Alhaji Umar called on the various Health Regulatory Bodies to make sure that proper monitoring, evaluation and sensitisations of the school is carried out at regular interval so as to produce quality students that would be able to compete at all levels and stands the test of time .

He pray that the Almighty God will watch over all of them, prosper and make all a souce of pride to their families, states, country and humanity .

He congratulated all the matriculating students and wish them a productive and fruitful stay in the college .

Also in his address, the chairman Governing Council Ibrahim Abdullahi said Al-Ameen college of Health Science and Technology was a simple discussion that formed into an idea and grew into a yearning ambition which has slowly but surely evolved into the present larger than life Institution, with such remarkable achievements within a period of just five years .

He said they can only thank the Almighty God who has guided and nurtured their aspiration into this glorious achievement .

He said ” there is no daubt that the health sector plays a vital role in our quest to achieve a lasting national development and schools like Al-Ameen college of Health Science t Technology will emerge as the main instrument towards attaining these development goals,” he stressed.

Ibrahin Abdullahi said as a privately funded Institution, which is mindful of achieving excellence while paying attention to its corporate responsability, the conceivers of this college had fundamentally set out to improve both the quality and quantity of properly trained health personnel in their immediate environment and in the country at large .

According to him,their objective is and will always remain to provide a most conducive settling for study and impart the best qualitative instruction for those candidates that are necessarily privileged or capable,but willing and desirous.

He said this initial objective has largely been achieved by the college and with continuous efforts to find ways to accommodate more candidates with a ademic challenges and difficulties, more students will gain greatly in the coming years.

He said college is not in competition with anyone in their pirsuit, they are actually in competition with conscience .

According to him Al-Ameen college of Health Science and Technology has just five years of its existence assisted in immeasurable ways to ease and comfort the less privileged in numerous ways .

He explained that over 3600 people benefitted from the free malaria intervention they initiated and funded in 2017, partnering with the planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria’s ( PPFN ) regional office in Kaduna .

He said they employ unskilled staff from their host community.They have also given eighty (80) orphaned students 100 % full scholarships across ethnic and geographical lines in their immediate communities, some of which have graduated last year .

,, We give free dental and oral health intervention to local markets traders, PHC centers, numerous primary and secondary schools .

We support secondary schools on their speech and prize giving days. Most recently, we have given substantial school fees waivers to some of our physically challenged students.*

He called on the people and goverenment of this great pacesetting state, under the able leadership of His Excellency Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’i, to collaborate with them towards taking their health section to an enviable height .

Finally, he congratulate the matriculating students and assure all parent, that at Al-Ameen College of Health yand Technology they give qualitative training and the students before them today will be trained according to the specifications of regulatory boards and councils .

He advise the students to be diligent in their studies and work hard .

Also in his message, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau who is ably represented by the Sarkin Shanin Zazzau, Alhaji Muhammad Salisu Muhammad, congratulated the school management for the successes they recorded in the last five years, and equally congratulated the matriculating students .

Alhaji Shehu Idris call on the students to make sure they consentrate fully in their studies and shun all vices that would dustract them .

He urged them to be good ambassadors so that there parents, there states, there local governments and their communities at the end they would be proud of them .
