Economic Hardship: RESIDENTS IN ZARIA AND ITS ENVIRONS LAMENTED HIGH COST OF RAMS

From Labaran Kakaki, Zaria.

Residents of Zaria and it’s environs have lamented the high cost of rams and lingering economic hardship faced by citizens.

Our correspondent in Zaria reports that this year, prices of ram has increased by two hundred percent than last year.

Some people attributed the high cost to uncontrolled fixingnot prices by all categories of business groups across the country.

Mal SHEHU Muhammad spoke to radio Nigeria on how he is battling to purchase a ram by making necessary adjustment from his basic need.

SHEHU Muhammad stressed the need for ram sellers to reduce the prices in order to get Allah’s reward.

A ram seller SHEHU suleiman explained that they supply the animals from border communities and transportation challenges and animal food consumed large part of their money.

Speaking to newsman sheikh Muhammad KABIR Ashikawee called on Muslim business groups to desist from taking advantage of sallah occasion to increase the prices of commodities especially during Edl fitir and Edlil KABIR period.

Muhammad KABIR Ashikawee reminded the business groups that if they reduce the prices of their commodities Allah would reward them in the hereafter.

By all indication thousands of Muslims faithful would not buy rams this years due to uncontrolled fixing of prices by ram sellers and economic hardship.
