Here are some relevant points about the LG Autonomy Bill before the National Assembly

• The bill is one of the 44 Constitution alteration bills transmitted by the National Assembly to the 36 state Houses of Assembly for concurrence in March 2022
• At least 15 state Houses of Assembly have endorsed the bill, including Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Cross-River, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun and Osun
• 11 state Houses of Assembly have opposed the bill, including Benue, Borno, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kaduna, Lagos, Ondo, Rivers, Yobe, Imo
• The resolutions from Adamawa and Bayelsa State Houses of Assembly abstained from voting
• Sir the Senate has said it would await the decision of the Supreme Court on the contentious issue of local government autonomy before taking a fresh look at the bill. What is your prayer ?
