The Committee of Federal Polytechnic Rectors (COFER) has elected the Rector of the Federal Polytheistic Daura, Katsina State, Professor Aliyu Mamman, as its Chairman.
In a press statement signed and issued to Journalists by COFER Secretary, Godwin Ayegbe, said Professor Aliyu Mamman was elected at COFER’s 33rd regular meeting in Abuja, with his tenure taking effect on May 15th, 2024, when tenure of the current chairman, Engr Yahaya M Bande, Rector, Federal Polytechnic Kauran Namoda, Zamfara State, expires.
The COFER Secretary, Godwin B Ayegba, said that untill his election, Professor Aliyu Mamman was the Vice Chairman of COFER, noting that he would now be chairman until his tenure as Rector expires next year.
Also elected is Dr Suleiman Muhammad Lame. Rector Federal Polytechnic, Kaltingo. Gombe State, as Vice chairman.
Dr. A.S. Taofeek A. Abdul-Hameed Rector Federal Polytechnic, Ayede. Oyo State tenure as treasurer remains.
Dr. A.S. Felix U. Attah, Rector Akanu-Abiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Ebony State has been appointed COFER South East Zonal Coordinator.
