Nigerians have been called upon to exercise patience on the current teething problems of Fuel Scarcity to enable government rectify the issue.
The Zonal chairman Independent Marketers Branch IMB of NUPENG Kaduna, Comrade Yusuf Olaide made the call while answering news reporters question on the Scarcity of the Petrolatum Products.
He noted that despite all odds, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL has put necessary machineries in place towards addressing the situation.
Comrade Olaide attributed the late arrival of the Petrolatum Products imported by the NNPCL, as one of the key reasons for the scarcity of the products.
According to him the increase in the price of dollar has also made it difficult for petroleum marketers to import the products with ease.
The IMB Zonal chairman advised that the Independent Petroleum Marketers should be adequately supported by supplying them with enough products to be able to reach the intended target consumers.
Comrade Olaide also described the money paid to the products transporters as meagre, hance the need for improvement.
He then cautioned on any attempt to increase the pump price of petroleum products in the country, saying it would further worsen hardship.
